Fable was hyped to be the choose-your-own-adventure game, be decide whether to be a good or bad citizen, and for the most part has lived up to the hype.
The gameplay is fine...varied, with a solid storyline to follow (should you wish to do so).
However, the game momentarily freezes from time to time. Though this is a monor annoyance that does not detract from the game's operation or fun, it does make one wonder why this glitch remains in the finalized version.
Otherwise, the game's graphics are excellent - well suited to a game with varying scenery and lighting conditions.
I could find absolutely nothing wrong with the game's sounds. There are a myriad of background noises/voices, plenty of NPC's to speak with, and enemies have their own distinctive sounds as well.
Fable has a very high replay value due to the ability to be any level of bad or good, thus making it possible to be a threatening-looking character with a good-natured streak.
Also, the gamer can decide whether to be more of a warrior or a mage (or many levels between).
Gameplay: 9.5 - except for the game freezes, everything is just fine.
Graphics: 9.5 - could have been a little smoother.
Sounds: 10 - absolutely perfect!
Replay Value: 10 - be it good or bad, warrior or mage, or any variation in between, this game will provide hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of enjoyment!
