Now, Halo 2 is by FAR not a bad game, but has the most disappointing ending since Bambi (I nearly cried...). Anyway, the gameplay factor has incresed a HUGE amount, you can now duel wield weapons. Even you could've in the last game, but the Bungie editors were just too lazy. The story is as follows:

Master Chief is back at the Cairo Station, a huge stationary platform defending Earth. Now, when recieving his medals of honors, the ceremony is interrupted by those gosh darned Covenent. So, now it up to you, and maybe a buddy, to defend the Cairo Station from oblivion.

The single player campaign is much redone, with huge levels to explore and destruct. Master Chief (hereby referred to as MC) has mass now, and has the ability to move objects, which improves the realism quite a bit. Although, you'd think that they'd run out of fossil fuels and what not by 2552. But whatever.

Multiplayer has also gotten a makeover, with more modes (Race is GONE!), more weapons, more levels, and Xbox Live. That's right, Xbox Live. 16 player duel to the death. There are many new weapons like the Plasma Sword and the Brute Shot. The Plasma Sword is what the name implies, a big 3-foot long sword. Although obviously meant for close combat, there is a special feature of the Sword. It has the ability, when your reticle or aimer, turns red, you can press the right trigger and say goodbye to anybody unlucky enough to get in your way.

You can now create clans and what not on Xbox Live, allowing you to team up with your friends and frag the shiite out of the opposing team. And you can create symbols to distinguish yourself in the battlefield.

Overall, this is by far the best game on the Xbox of 2004, one of the best games of the year, and one for the history books of the ages. 9.7 out of 10.
