This was one of my most anticipated games for the 360,so the review Im about to post is almost heart breaking to me.Lets start off with the good points,it looks fantastic (There are literally hundreds of zombies on acreen) and the detail in everything around you you mind numbing. When you kill a zombie the accompanying sound effect is really satisfying,in that disgusting kind of way.The mall that the game takes place in is huge and has many stores in it,most of which have things you can use wether there weapons or clothes (Or sometimes masks). The cut scenes look ok and the voice acting isnt that bad either considering it's a Capcom game. Also when you get in the vehicles and run over the zombies,it's pure bliss. Now,onto the few unfortunate things that really cripple this game. The save system.I really dont have to say anything more than that to the people who have actually played it,but if your someone who hasnt played it,I'll explain the painfull details. In short,it sucks! You can only save at a rest room or on the couch where you start the game,so if your really far and you die, guess what? You start the game over! And you better pay attention, cause even if you save the game when you die,it only saves your stats and whatnot, not the actual place you were or the weapons you had.I've started over accidently 9 times already, and Ive only had the game a week! Also is when you have a zombie 1 foot away from you and you go to pull out your gun,you face away from it for some reason, totally leaving you open to get attacked (This is especially bad when you only have 1 life bar left). You can fix this in the option screen by setting it to the camera view or something rather, but it still sucks as a default. It has a rankings mode and thats it,so if you planned on going online to shoot some zombies or play zombie deathmatch with some of your friends, forget about it!I was really looking forward to this game,I bought themes off of XBOX Live as well as gamer pics for this game, but at this point,I must say that those were worth buying more than the game (Only marginally at that!),so while this will one day make a great "Greatest Hits" title,I cannot recommend spending your hard earned $60 for this game that had so much potential, yet just fell apart at the finish line.I give it a 6 out of 10.
