The eye toy is an ingenious creation that just goes to show how technology has progressed in a few years. This is a unique experience and it should be experienced by everyone even if overall its not worth buying.
You get an eye toy camera with the game which you mount on you t.v. Once you hook it up to the ps2s usb port put in the disc and your off. No controllers needed.
Graphics: Well this works a lot differently to most games. The graphics you do experience are simple but it is acceptable as you are also on the screen too. The cameras quality is quite good. You don't suffer from much problems with it. You can focus it by twisting the lens. You do need to be in a well lit area and also it helps if your clothes don't match whatever is behind you too much. There are basic animations on screen and its all fine basically. You blend in with the games fairly well and that's all that can be said.
Overall: 7.0
Presentation: Some parts of this game seem a bit gimmicky and quite childish but you can over look that because it is an interactive game. You navigate all the menus your self by waving your hand over the icon on screen. Yet again little more can be said only that its basic and far from exciting

Gameplay. This is obviously very unique gameplay. With no controllers, you are the controller. Use your hands, head and anything else you can fit on screen to play the games. Most games are quite simply just hand movements, but they are nicely varied. Of the 12 games my favourite is mirror time in which you must hit green bubbles and avoid the red ones. The cool thing is that the screen divides itself up and half of you is upside down or mirrored. If you cant understand the concept by reading it I accept that as you do have to play it to get it, and that's the case with a lot of the games on show here. The games can become very tiring and also addictive. I you and your friend are competing against each other you will find yourselves battling for the highest scores in the games. The are a few little extras but nothing worth mentioning.
Overall: 8.5
Sound: This is very basic as well. Nothing brilliant at all. Just the most basic of sound effects, and you cant hear yourself either. There are characters that explain how the games work but they are just simply little bits of dialogue. Nothing else here. Some games have music playing in the background but after that that's it. The highlights of the sound would be moloko's "sing it back" song that features in one game.
Overall: 6.5
Lifespan. If you are young this may last you a while. This lasted me 3 days. That doesn't say much and I was playing with a friend. You've got to remember that it is a gimmick at the end of the day and its full uses haven't been exploited yet. The 12 games you can play just seem to run out of steam, way to quick. There are serous lifespan issues here but it may suite some people more than others.
Overall: 5.0
The verdict: If you do get this game hold onto it for the sheer fact that a lot of up and coming titles use the camera. In some games you can map your face using the camera. And also there are a lot of other eye toy titles on the way so it might be worth holding onto. Overall not as good as I thought but still acceptable.
Overall score: 7.2 (not an average)
