If you like GTA style games and want one for your gamecube consle, this is one game that you must have. True crimes is alot like gta. You can free rome the city of L.A. and pretty much do anything that you like to do. One thing that you can do is that you can actually arrest people when a street crime is comitted. You can also choose between being a good cop or a bad cop. Good cops use strategies to solve street crimes. Example: You would arrest a civilian if you catch them doing a street crime. Bad cops on the other hand would just shoot the civilians commiting a street crime. There are missions in the game as well. And yes, you do have to complete them in order to beat the game. By doing this you can unlock weapons, fighting styles, and even cars. A real neat thing about the free roam mode is that you actually cruise the whole complete map of L.A. not just certain sections of it. You can steal anyones car just like in gta and if certain cars have a siren, you can activate it. When you meet a civilian commiting a street crime, if that civilian has a weapon in hand, you can take and keep the civilians weapon. The only downfall to this is that it runs out of ammo. Your default weapon does not. So if you are a gta fan, you should get this game . overall, I give this game an 8.5
