Beautiful, seemless graphics; expansive, multi leveled stages; tag team combos - this game has it all.
Have you seen the previews for this game? It fully utilizes the hardware that powers the XBOX. All of the characters are extremely detailed. Seeing them in various costumes is great. NOTE: I find it interesting that when you adjust your "age" in the options, that affects how much "bouncy" you get from the game. That's a funny touch.
The moves range from standard to provocative to heavy hitting. I was really impressed with the move list for this game. Most of them are relatively simple to execute, but the key thing with this game is timing.
Learning when to execute a move is pivotal to your success. Combine that with the ability to grab someone DURING his or her own attack and you can be deadly.
The fighting arenas that you compete in are amazing. This is definitely one area that this game surpasses all others in. Knocking your opponents off of a ledge and then jumping after them to finish off a fight? Oh yeah.
Also, the tag team matches are a lot of fun. Learning to work effectively with another person (or by yourself against the computer) is so much fun.
What's sad is that what makes the game great, also can be upsetting. Being knocked from one of the upper tiers to a lower one takes SO much health that you know the game is almost over. Trying to attack someone that continually reverses the attack on you (causing you to sustain heavy damage) can be frustrating.
But, those can be overlooked. It's a solid fighting game that comes highly recommended.
