Refreshing, fun, and beautiful. This game truly makes a point of being great. It possesses a good story, polished graphics, and a different gamestyle.
One of the continual quests throughout the game is taking pictures of all the life that you come in contact with, whether human, talking pig, or monster. Each picture bags money and / or pearls which can be used as currency.
You also are sent to take pictures (for proof) of government scandals. It's actaully a pretty involved story line. Going into this game (which was bought as a present for me) I was a little sceptical of the fun factor. A kids game, I thought. I was SO wrong.
I recommend this to anyone who owns an XBox. No real need to buy it for the PC as it truly is a console game at heart. It's definitely worth any cost involved in getting it.
The game world itself is beautiful. You do get to explore a just about all of it throughout the course of the game. The missions are varied enough to make it interesting. There ard frontal attacks on creatures in an abandoned mine, stealth approach in a factory that smuggles unmentionables, and hover craft races just to mention a few.
The races are a great diversion from the intensity of the core missions. Taking pictures of the animals and plant life is very rewarding. Talking with Rastafarian Rhinos is amusing. Stuck? There are maps that will point you in the right direction to various items or points.
Overall, I don't know how else this game could have been made more enjoyable. This is by far my favorite game that I have played to date. Support the developers of this game and buy it. Buy two copies for yourself and one for every one that you know with an XBOX. It will be worth every $ spent.
