Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is quite frankly one of the best games i've ever played (and ive been gaming 15 years).

Splinter Cell is now a well known series of games, as the series has existed approximately 3-4 year now. People were skepticle about the game at first, but the success of splinter cell started in the first game. People realize that Splinter Cell would become a revolutionary game, and it has done nothing but get better with each game in the series.

Splinter Cell 1 was single player only and boasted some of the best gameplay to be seen on the XBox.

Splinter Cell 2 (Pandora Tomorrow) was single and multiplayer, however the multiplayer aspect was more heavily focused upon than the single player. Despite a somewhat lacking single player, the multiplayer quickly because recognized as one of the most unique and innovative experiences to ever come to any console.

And now, we have Splinter Cell 3, Chaos Theory. Chaos theory is without a doubt the definition of perfection. The single player is tremendously immersive, action packed, realistic, and fun.

Heres a breakdown of the key aspects of SC:CT.

Sound- Unbelievable. The level of realism they put into the sound effects and voices of this game is mind blowing. If you havnt found a reason to buy a 5.1 surround sound system, this game will give you one. Its almost needed to be able to get through some of the harder levels of SC:CT.

Gameplay- This is the true grounds of the game. The gameplay is extremely unique, as there are less than a handful of stealth-action based games out there. Splinter Cell is without a doubt the best of this genre. And thats alot coming from a guy who once swore by MGS.

Graphics- Its been said, time and time again. This game is good enough to be considered as the way things will look on the next gen consoles. Anyone who has played games such as Half Life 2 has seen what great graphics looks like. Let me lay it on you like this, a side by side comparison of the 2 games would show that Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is equal to Half Life 2 in some areas and better than half life 2 in other areas. Im also a big fan of the Half Life series, so i know what im talking about comparing these 2 games.

Multiplayer- Absolutely one of the greatest, most fun, well-created multiplayer experiences ever. The gameplay is extremely unique and never gets old. The same strategy doesnt work twice. You constantly have to plan your actions and be able to "read" your teammates mind. Most games multiplayer aspect becomes repetitive after so long. I bought SC:PT the day it was released, and i still havnt gotten tired of its multiplayer. SC:CT is no exception.

Replayability- Astounding. This game has the replayability level so high that any graph showing replayability of 10 games would end up with SC:CT going in a line straight up that was so high the other 9 games would have a flat line. The game can be played multiples and multiples of ways, so it never gets stale. If you have XBox live, youre in for a real treat, because download content has been confirmed for the game already, and new maps for both SvM and Co-op should be on the way in a few months.

Summary: Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is a must have for any fan of stealth based action games. Even if youre not a fan of the series. Anyone looking for a truely unique and fun experience all the way around, this is the game for you. When it comes time to select game of the year, expect Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory to be one serious contender.
