This is the first Splinter Cell game I've played and I love it. In my opinon, it is the best stealth game ever created.
---Gameplay---
* The core gameplay for SC:CT is pretty basic but very effective. For most of the game you will be hiding in the dark. You can either wait for oppurotunity to strike, or you can create it. EX: You can shoot out the lights for easy kills in the dark. Once you get the oppuritunity to kill, there are many ways to do it. You can whip out the knife for a quick, silent kill. You can also pull out your SC20k rifle and start a firefight. Or maybe your in need of some info. Then find your self an unsuspecting terrorist and let the interigation begin!
Not only are there many ways to get rid of enemies, there are many ways to accomplish tasks and complete missions. Choosing the best path will require some brain power.
+ Tons of ways to dispose of your enemies
+Terrific level design
+ Multiple paths let you approach each level however you want
+ While primarily a stealth game, there are some action sequences which are pretty fun as well
- Slow pace may turn off some gamers who prefer fast paced shoot em' ups
10/10
---Multiplayer---
* Like I said before, this is my first Splinter Cell game. This is why SC:CT on Xbox Live is such a unique experience for me. It is unlike anything I have ever played before. I'm used to playing games like Counter Strike, Halo, and Unreal Tournament where basically the whole point is to run around and kill everybody. But not this game. It is much slower paced and requires some brain power. Not a quick trigger. The end result is fun and very addictive
+ Revolutionary
+ The Spies (3rd Person) vs Mercs (1st Person)action is unique and incredibly fun.
+ Again, more great level design
+ Xbox Live
+ Co-op mode
- No complaints. SP:CT offers one of the best multiplayer components all time.

---Graphics---
* When I first bought this game, I wasn't sure which version to get. I had seen some screens of the PC version before, and was stunned. But, I prefer playing 3rd person games with a controller. So I made the compromise and got it for the Xbox. I knew it was the right choice, but i was a little bummed out that I would be sacrifycing some graphics. I was wrong. The game looks just as stunning. No. Stunning is an understatement. I would go as far as to say this is the best looking game to date. And yes, i have DOOM 3, I have Far Cry, and I have Half-Life 2. This beats them all. SC:CT looks truely next-gen and is the posterboy of what the xbox is fully capable of.
+ Fantastic lighting. Not only does it look great, it is also a HUGE factor in your survival.
+ Character models are the best I've ever seen. Just look at Sam in the rain. You can see the light reflect of the water on his suit. You can clearly see every mucsle flex on his body. You have to see it to believe it.
+ Amazing textures. Thanks to lots of normal and bump mapping, every wall pops out at you.
- Uh... some of the faces are too shiny. But who cares when rest of the game is so damn beautiful!?
10/10
---Audio---
* Some of the best audio ever in a game. SC:CT on a 5.1 surround sound setup is something that must be experienced. Not only does it immensely improve the atmosphere, it can actually help you out in the game. You can pinpoint two enemy guards just by the sound of their chatter.
The sound effects are also outstanding. Bullets bouncing off a steel door. Bottles shattering as they are thrown onto the ground. And of course, the enemy's cry of death as he takes a knife to the gut. It all sounds so good.
+ 5.1 setups actually help you in the game.
+ Sound effects are well done.
- No complaints for the audio department. Everything is done just fine.
10/10
So there it is. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is the most complete stealth game on the market, and is a must have for any fan of the genre.
