Fable.....what Can I say...this game is great. Although they didn't exactly deliver what was promised. They still delivered a fun rpg, that lets you do the a$$ kicking, instead of pressing one button and watching your character do it instead, like some other rpg's out there.
The Graphics.
the graphics in this game r nice, but not overly impressive. The game does have beautiful lighting effects Eg. like a sun beam shining through the trees. They also included effects on your character like age ( hair color and slight wrinkles) and scars. The game is done with exagerated shapes and colors, to convey a sense of, cartoon surealisticness if you will, to help lighten up this surprisingly Dark story.
The Sound
sound quality in Fable is great, You here the creak of the bowstring on enemies crossbows when there loading the bolt, When you you use the lightning will power it the sounds of thunder continue on an seem to roll away like an actual thunderstorm. the music is good an kicks in at certain shifts in gameplay so it can help warn you when there are enemies who r about to attack.
The Gameplay
the gameplay in fable is very fun, the combat system is easy to use and intuitive. when you hit a enemy a certain amount of times your "combat multipler" rise. giving you the the flourish ability, which is basically an unblockable attack. The magic, or "Will" if you will (haha i made a funny) is very easy and fun to use, you have a repretoire of spells at your disposal, provided you spend "experience points" to buy each spell. experience is gained in combat( obviously) but uniquely so. Depending on how you dispatch your enemies, determies what sort of experience you get; dead enemies yield general experience, regardless of how you killed them. Killing by the sword gives strength experience. killing by the bow yields skill experience, and killind using will powers yields will experience points.
In conlusion.... Fable is an awesome game fit for all types of gamers (as long as they meet the ESRB age requirments). hey whats more fun than slaughtering an entire village, buy all the buildings.....and collect a kings fortune in gold in less than a months game time.
