Amazed and Speechless.

What can i say. It had to be didn't it. One of the best stealth game series is back and boy is it on fire.
As a huge fan of the metal gear series I was really getting hyped up about this game. As I watched the gameplay videos and screenshots I was getting so excited, I couldn't wait for it. I preordered it and once i placed it in the PS2 disc tray I knew this was going to be on fire, and I was right.

Gameplay 10/10

Personally I think this games gameplay is one of a kind but saying that, i am a bit of a freak. There are many different ways to complete the levels situated in this game which gives it huge replay value. You could go and get stuck in with guns blazing and killing every one around or go in silently, changing your camoflage and face paint to suit the enviroment, pulling out your knife, sneaking up to a enemy sentry, taking him hostage and either interrogating him for info, slitting his throat or breaking his neck, this game is made for anyone who likes stealth games or shoot 'em ups. Another great feature is the fact that if you get injured eg. a deep cut from an enemies knife, you will have to treat yourself by first putting disinfectent in the wound then stitching it back up just like real life.

Graphics 9/10

Konami does certainly well for pulling out some great visuals from the PS2's hardware and it shows once you get playing. The high detail on the characters and surroundings are very very good. You can see the pupils in the soldiers eyes, the rips in snakes bandana, anything in real life you can see is bound to be in this game thanks to the awesome graphics.

Sound 10/10

Once you enter the jungle you can certainly tell you are in one thanks to the great sound provided. You can hear high quality sounds of small frogs and creatures crawling in the grass and trees above to the sound of a heavy machine gun firing at you from a distance. To put it simply, the sound is amazing.

Storyline 10/10

Even though the games length is short (5-10 hours!!) the storyline is very compelling and it certainly draws you into the game. Basically, without spoiling the game, it is about a secret agent, Snake (YOU), who needs to destroy a prototype nuclear launcher, the Shagohod, capable of shooting a nuclear bomb from Russia to America, but now that a friend has betrayed him and has joined the bad guys it starts to turn into a personal matter.

Overall 10/10

A very fun and mysterious game. This game is for anyone who like stealth games or shoot 'em ups.
