Movie adaptation games aren't usually very good, and even Spiderman: The Movie wasn't much more than average either. But Spiderman 2 is truly a stroke of genius. The swinging system takes about ten minutes to get used to, and after that it's smooth, stylish and great fun. Also, this time around you have a lot more freedom (eg. being able to touch the ground!). You can swing around the whole of New York stopping crimes all day, but the real action is in the storyline. Gameplay is broken up into chapters, each with different objectives. Most chapters involve colecting 'hero points' which are accquired by stopping crimes around the city, collecting skyscraper tokens and secret tokens, or even delivering pizza. However, the missions can be a bit repetitive and sometimes you just want to get on with the story. The story follows the same lines as the movie, and the game even includes all the real voices of the cast. Overall, Spiderman 2 is a great game that will keep you busy for weeks.
