Wow--I love games, but remain a passive gamer due to my work, etc...It is rare that I find a game that keeps me totally hooked for hours at a time. This game is one of few that keeps me playing until I finally realize that hours have gone by.
Psychonauts is also a game that needs to be played to be understood. It is not easy to translate what all this game entails on paper. You will never get board playing this game. The enviornments and challenges constantly change as you dive further into this totally imersive experience.
At heart this is a platformer, yet it is not your typical "kiddie" game. There is much action and quite a few puzzles to be solved as well. Most importantly is the fact that the game never fails to keep you completely involved. You honestly have no idea what will be coming next as you travel through the endless creativity of each new level. This game is a true experience to be enjoyed and I hope that it finds the rabid cult audience it deserves.
