Killzone just about gets it right, but the hardware doesn't quite pack enough punch to pull it off. The games futuristic story is interesting, cut scences are nicely done and voice acting is good. In game graphics are pretty enough, though draw distances are often a problem most noteably in bigger areas, I noticed on several occasions I was shot at by enemy beyond the draw point, its hard to kill em if ya can't see em!! The sound effects are par though battle crys quickly become repedative. Weapons are your standard FPS fair, Pistols, Sniper(with an annoying aiming system), Rocketlauncher etc. and whilst both ally and enemy weapons are on offer don't expect any Halo, alien types here.
Enemy A.I is o.k reacting in a reasonable manner during battle.
Lifespan is about what you'd expect from a FPS 10-14 hours, being multiplayer both on and offline adds to this. No Co-op story mode though.
Killzone is a fun ps2 FPS and to finish with one final cliche, it ain't no Halo killer!!! 7.5/10
