where do i start? this has got to be the best and most rewarding PS2 wrestling game ever!
First off the Good stuff in this game:
They have added Tons more unlockables such as the Wrestlmania 9 arena,and the ECW one night stand arena. The game has an in depth season mode, and is completely different depending on what Brand you choose(Smackdown or Raw). There are also a couple more mach types to choose from such as : Buried Alive, Or fullfill Your Fantasy.
The create a wrestler feature is back and this time ,believe it or not, I think its even gotten better ; there is a load of wacky and crazy things to outfit your wrestler with Like bear paw gloves and more.They have added a new Create an entrance mode which is a pretty cool idea and it will please all of you who have wanted to do that kind of stuff before.
They have also added more in-ring mini games such as the new sleeper mode, and in cage maches you can now exit through the door, but after completing a mini game of coarse.And they've added new modes such as General manager mode,and they've added your own 3D costomizable locker room!
The graphics are amazing for th PS2 and the blood looks even more realistic. and after all these years they finally have the annoncer and your opponent waiting in the ring juring your entrance.
After all that good stuff the game still isn't perfect,here are the cons of this game:
The A.I. (artificial intelligance) in this game is poorly done. I meen i don't think i have to tell my parter to come in and break a pinfall, or not to get hiself counted out, and believe me it does get annoying. and there is some questionable collision detection.
The major thing that really bugged me about this game is that asside from the A.I. is some parts are very unrealistic,like rey mysterio lifting The Big Show over his head or flipping the Big Show .Also when my opponent gets thrown from 20 feet in the air off a cage why does he get back up in about 30 Seconds,looking like he did before i threw him of the cage?? And Why oh Why do the broken tables and weapons Dissapear?? the last thing is that when the guy bleeds it drips onto the mat which is good,but then after 5 seconds it dissapears too!
overall this game is very good ,and has great new modes,but the A.I , the dissapearing debris ,and the unrealism in some parts lowered the enjoyment,But nevertheless it's still afantastic game!
