Being more a fan of titles like 'Burnout 3' or 'Need For Speed', I usually get frustrated by games where I have to slow down before going round the corner and wasn't thrilled with Gran Turismo 4 (shock horror). However, Forza is awesome. The graphics are excellent, very clear and the car models are superb. I love how many cars there are, like how you can have a Mitsibushi Lancer in your garage right next to a Ferrari and 1967 Ford Mustang. Also, the game introduces a brilliant 'racing line' system which is basically a long line ahead of your vehicle which is green when your speed is fine and then turns yellow, amber to red when your speed on approach is too fast. It then changes back towards green as you reach the ideal speed. I honestly can't knock the game, because even though the soundtrack is nothing special (but is definitely not bad by any means either) you can use your custom soundtrack instead. The gameplay is excellent, using either the d-pad or left stick to steer and the right trigger button to accelerate and left trigger to brake.
There is no frustrating licence system like in GT4, you get straight in to it, earn cash, get cars for free as you progress and trade in the ones you don't like. Initially I delayed buying this game thinking I would hate it for being nothing like Burnout 3, but I'd recommend it to anyone and am glad I bought it. Definitely one of the best racers I've played.
