I feel this game is too much fluff and extras. More attention needs to be given to the gameplay. Very disappointing!!!!! The best football games are the ones where the players are easiest to control. You can have all the adjustments and audibles you want, but if they are not easy to execute (which they are not in Madden 06) it makes everything too dificult. Here are my chief complaints:

The players are too hard to control due to the animations, especially the QB.

Very dificult to change the mode of the QB from pass to run and back to pass.

The pump fake sometimes happens instead of throwing due to the same button for both if you tap it.

When the player is controlled by the player he is significantly slower and is often cought from behind by a slower computer player. (Very unrealistic, (try kickoff))

Maybe I should give it some time, but the field of vision is very dificult to master and I do not think it makes sense to add another requirement to pass the ball effectively.

You have to memorize your audibles because they are not displayed at the line of scrimmage.

Motion has to be set before the ball is hiked.

Not all receivers can have hot routes.

No list online to challege players. (you have to fill in your criteria and it automatically selects someone for you)

Not all adjustments in the manual. (ie inside outside shade)
