Indigo Prophecy seems more like an interactive movie than a videogame. Or even better, if any of you have ever read those "choose your destiny" books, that say, "hop the fence, go to page 12, or run away, go to page 43" from the early 90's or so, that's basically what Indigo Prophecy is. But I still bought it because it seemed original, and I always love an original game to mix things up in between my Final Fantasies, GTA's, Metal Gears, and Resident Evils. Everything is a sequel now, so I figured since the developers took a risk in making an original game, I'd take a risk and buy it, and I must say, I wasn't disappointed.

Maybe it was because I didn't have high expectations, or maybe it's because I've always felt the story of a game is just as important as the game play, or maybe a little of both, but both ways, Indigo Prophecy is a good game. It's a different experience than any I've ever had. You control 3 characters, and buy "control," I mean you actually control all their actions. You decide if they open the cabinet, open the door, go to sleep, open the window, and even what to say in a conversation. All this is done with the analog stick. A series of choices will be at the top of the screen each with a direction point the analog stick to choose that option.

The story is great, it starts out very normal, and quickly turns into an extreme sci-fi, but still stays very interesting the whole time. Usually I'm not into stuff like that, but you just have to trust me when I say that it just hooks you.

The sound and visuals are also above average. They're not exactly stunning, but they aren't anything to complain about.

One thing that there is to complain about is the gameplay, there really isn't any. It's more like playing in a mystery movie, where there isn't action, just you walking around, trying to figure out what's going on. And when there is action, you don't actually control the main character, you instead play a game of simon says, where if you hit the right combination, your guy will live.

Overall, this game will not be for everyone, but if you go into this game knowing what your getting into, then you will be able to enjoy this game for what it's worth.
