Company of Heroes is no doubt the best RTS game made.
I gave this a 10 because:
The graphics first of all are amazing, you need a very good computer to run at max, I run it at max and the detail is amazing. the physics are in a league of their own if you ask me. Basically everything is destructable, you can drive tanks through houses and stores. You can blow up buildings with enemy troops in them using satchel charges etc, you can use mortors to knock parts off buildings.
The sound is great, you can hear the troops and action, shooting, environment all round. Very good atmosphere making you feel like you are actually in the game.
The gameplay is great, and I have to say that the AI is very good, they are actually quite difficult even on easy, alough I am getting better since im mainly an fps player but have improved greatly on this game. Enemies if under heavy attack will house up in a building for cover or retreat for cover or backup.
For the story it follows along WWII starting from D-day which has great cinematics. I have not completed the story but I can say that it does take time to complete levels, you need to use strategy, you can't just run in and go all guns blazing. You need to create diversions and flank your enemy. Set up traps etc to make sure you defeat the enemy.
You can also play skirmish mode which you can play as either the Allies or the Axis on maps, and play gamemodes of Annihilation or capturing points, racing to do it. I really only play Annihilation, you can set up bases, capture points expanding your population cap (there is a population cap remover downloadable from the net if people want to remove it). Skirmish's can last for hours, and again strategic thinking is involved.
The multiplayer side, which I have not played yet, but I have made an account and can see that you can have ranked games or unranked games, their is a leaderboard and lots of servers.
Overall this game deserves a 10, it is clearly though out well by Relic and THQ who have put a lot of dedication into this game.
