Not long after the fall of the Halo in Halo: Combat Evolved, takes place our story. Of course you play the role of Master Chief, ready to fight of the Covenant, Flood, and anything else the universe has to throw at you.
In this sequel, you learn that the Covenant are at it again. But this time they are attacking Earth head on. You as Master Chief must protect Earth and all who inhabit it, who knows what lies ahead.
Halo 2 is an excellent example of designers improving on the original. This game has better graphics than the first (which were already pretty good). Better game play which includes being able to dual wield many of the weaker weapons from the original. New weapons including the Energy Blade, new vehicles, and plenty of new maps to explore. All in all, plenty of game for any hardcore gamer out there.
Many gamers were disappointed about Halo: Combat Evolved not being Live enabled, but that's not the case with Halo 2. It supports up to 16 players per game ranging from 8 vs 8 team games to 8 player deathmatches.
Halo 2 is definitely a must buy on any Xbox gamers list. If you don't own an Xbox, I recommend you become good friends with someone who does so you can try this game out.
