God of war has to be the best 3-D action game ever. First of all the story is very good, nothing like Half-Life 2 but its good enough to keep you going. Secondly the combat is near flawless. There may be only two weapons, not including magic, but they handle excelently and i found myslef much more content with to awesome weapons then 5 boring ones. Also on the hardest difficulty this will be tough for even the most hardcore of gamers, and i mean THE MOST HARDCORE.
There are many different enemies and their A.I. is so good you never feel like your slashing through cannon fodder to get to the next boss.
There are one or two problems though. First of all if you are truly the hardest of the hardcore or playing on a low difficulty setting it will probably take you about eight hours. make no mistake, those eight hours are a blast but its still a little to short. The second problem didn't bother me but there are nude women and monsters in this game. (fortunatly they were merciful enough to give the cyclops a cloth to hide his special areas.) Like i said this doesn't ofend me but it could possibly offend other so just be wary.
Overall its a blast to play even if it isn't long, and it's the best action game on the PS2 if not anywhere.
