Gun. The tale of a vigilante gunslinger out for justice to right what was made wrong. Sounds like something out of a Hollywood blockbuster. Gun struck me, despite of all the poor reviews, as something new and fresh. There have been a few good western games such as Rockstar's Red Dead Revolver, but this game takes the western to a whole new level. The graphics for starters are everything you could want from a next-gen console. From the lip-syncing during the cut-scenes, to the visually stunning explosions and blood effects. This game has all you could ask for in a western. While the graphics are great the sound is even better! The symphony changes pace during specific times in the game. For example, if you are in a heated gun battle, the music is fast and loud. On the other hand, if the mood is somber, there is a deeper and darker mood to the music. Okay, so we've covered graphics and music, how about that little detail called gameplay. The best part about this game is your ability to ride horses. It actually felt like I was riding a horse when I was playing. The controls make the motions of the horse feel smooth and real. The quickdraw mode which literally slows down time makes it easier to get your opponent quickly. And, with an array of actual old-west weapons, who could ask for more. The game should take the average gunslinger about 15-18 hours to complete, but the different difficulty levels should have you itching for more. This was my first 360 game that I bought and I think that it is a great buy. Here are the numbers for Gun.
