I think that Gears of War has great gameplay. I like that fact that you have to stay in cover because if you stay in the open too long you be around too much longer. The whole idea of cover and shot, flanking the enemy, and using team mates to help over come large amounts of enemy is great. It is a different take on 3rd person shooters. I also like the fact that you dont have health, but if you do get hit you have a little Gears icon start to appear and if it fills compleatly your done.
Another great thing about this game is the story line. I mean true there are alot of great games out there but the story line is not as great as you would like it to be. The story line in gears keeps you coming back for more until you compleate the game because you want to know what happens next and what happens to the characters in which you are fighting this war with do after its all done and over with.
Also the graphics and sound are great. My TV is 9 years old and sucks but this game still looks amazing on it just like a next-gen game should look, sound, and play like.
Finally but not least is the controls. The controls are easy to get the hang of and are nice, if your having some trouble on what to do next a little look icon (Y Button) appears and gives you a hint on what to do or where to go next.
All in all this is a great game and worth the $60 that you pay for it.
