Metroid Fusion is a must have game for the GBA… along as you're not too bothered about it not lasting very long.
You wander around blasting alien things with occasional boss battles whilst trying to figure out how to reach the next inaccessible section of the game map. This is done extremely well though. Weapons are gradually introduced into the game and differing weapons have different uses. The same applies to the moves that you are capable of. Early on in the game there are loads of sections that cannot be reached. Once you gain a new weapon or fancy new move though, an entire section of the map becomes accessible. This in turn leads you to more bad guys, more bosses, more moves, more weapons, more save points. It all opens out very nicely.
The graphics are bright and clear, and the sounds effects are pretty good to say its only the GBA. However, the whole game can be completed in a very short time and once completed it depends on whether you can be bothered going through it all again in an attempt to find a few more little nooks and crannies that you might have missed previously.
It's a great game but it could have done with being a bit bigger.
