Tekken Advance on the GBA. Wow! How on earth can it be done with the limited capabilities of the tiny handheld? Who cares when it turns out as good as this? It follows the same style as all the other Tekken games. You take control of a fighter and beat other fighters to pulp. It's just that Tekken does it really well. There are the usual characters here, with the usual strengths and weaknesses so it is nothing revolutionary. However, it doesn't need to be.
The graphics are extremely detailed and smooth to say it's all in 3D. The sound is the usual grunts and thuds, so nothing much to say about that really. There are also various modes to try out as well. Single player, survival, time attack, team battle and two player modes are all there to keep you going.
It's the gameplay that shines though. Even with just two buttons and two shoulder buttons there are dozens of moves for each character. It will keep you busy for ages just trying to learn the moves in a hope that you can improve your longest survival or fastest knock out. The only let down is that the single player mode where you just fight your way through the other characters is probably a bit dull when you look closely, but that's the only fault I can pick. Buy it.
