Who would have thought that running a farm could be so much fun? I heard that this was good and thought that it was at least worth a try. Maybe it would break the tedium of playing different versions of the same sort of game over and over. After playing it for a while it became clear that this was the game I had been waiting for.
Basically, you run a farm that you have inherited from some farmer that you once knew. This involves looking after animals, plantings crops, hiring help, selling crops, selling produce from your animals, (milk, wool etc…). As time goes along you will be able to purchase equipment to make life easier and make more money at a faster rate. You can also go and dig for precious stones in the local mine, go fishing at the local river, buy food at the local shop and pub… your task list is never ending.
However, you still have to fit in all your important jobs. If you don't water your crops they will die; if you don't look after your animals they will also die; if you don't eat you will end up in hospital and your crops and animals will wilt and get sick because you're not there to look after them. There's a lot of planning and organising to do.
You can however, hire elves to help you. Once hired you can tell them to carry out whichever tasks you want help on and they will do it until their pre-determined employment period has run out.
Another thing you need to do is be nice to the locals. They even have birthdays when the correct present will make them like you even more. Who knows, if you're lucky you might even pull one of the local girls and get married. Once you are married you may need a bigger house with more new equipment. It goes on and on and on. There's always something new to works towards.
This will keep you going for months, (as long as you don't get fed up of constant farming). Unexpectedly brilliant.
