I bought this game, because i quite enjoyed nfs:underground 2, especially the modding side of the game. When i first put the disc i was pleasantly surprised and after a while pretty bored, let me explain.

Gameplay: The basic premise of the game is to make your way up the blacklist, eventually getting to no 1 and beating the person who stole your car in the first place, not much of a plot but handled quite well. You have your races and milestones which a certain amount must be completed before you can challenge the next person on the list, races are just that, sprints, circuits, drags etc which most nfs fans will be accustomed to, theres a new one though called speed trap, where its a normal race but the fastest person through each speedtrap ultimely wins, even if you come 4th you may still win the race overall. Milestones are a new addition, and are all focused on the police aspect of the game, which the title suggests, this entails ramming police cars, evading police for a certain amount of time, going through roadblocks avoiding spike traps etc. You must complete a certain amount of these to progress as well. The modding section of the game is still the same, except to my despair, there are no magazine covers and photo-shoots, so in the end it does'nt matter at all what your car looks like.

Conclusion: The first few days of playing this game are quite fun, but its the same formula right through the whole game, win a race, complete a milestone, win money, buy new car-repeat. I only managed to get to blacklist 4, but by then i was so tired of evading police, i just gave up. I would recommend midnight club 3:dub editon if i had to choose, as its just way more fun, and is'nt that the point of gaming.
