When I first played Super Mario 64 on the N64,I always thought it was the best game I had ever played. In fact,I still think its the best,if not the best platformer game ever made.So its a shame we had to wait so long for the sequel. But it came,Super Mario Sunshine.
Mario,Peach and Toadsworth have decided to take a break on the relaxing holiday resort of Isle Delfino. When they arrive,it doesnt all go to plan.A mysterious imposter has sprayed the whole island with paint, and the islanders are blaming one person.Yes,Mario is getting the blame for a crime he never commited! After a session in court,Mario is given a special hose device,FLUDD,which he can use to clean up the island and find the real culprit.
The game isnt just about cleaning up paint.Like Super Mario 64,there are special tasks to be completed in each level.Completing one will get you a star shrine(basically the same as stars from the old game). You may not need to clean anything to do these tasks, but you will still need FLUDD to travel around.
And yes,Yoshi is back! But thers one thing wrong. The Yoshis from Isle Delfino hate water,so if you take a Yoshi for a swim,it wont like it at all.But apart from that, the game has pretty much the same idea as Super Mario 64,and i recommend it to anyone who owned what I call the greatest game ever(Im talking about Super Mario 64,not Super Mario Sunshine). But Mario Sunshine is still well worth getting.90%
