This personaly is one of the best games made in 2005. The game relies on the players fingering and how fast they are able to hit the fret buttons. there are 5 buttons which allow the player to rely look and feel as though they are actually playing the gibson SG controller which is extremely innovative and for that it has won so many awards.
The game allows the payer to perform chords, hammer-ons, pull-offs and hard as nails solos which have to be nailed to make the player feel like a master.
The track list is fantastic, songs like "Bark at the Moon" and my favourate "Symphony of Destruction". (the solo is ace). the unlockables in the shop allow the player to buy songs, characters like the Grim Reaper, Videos from the makers Harmonix, guitars which you can switch between song selection.
Multiplayer aspects allow 2 players to play head to head for the most points. This can get very competitive, so invite your mates over and play this all night. (its so much fun to play) the venues you play in range from Basements (includes angry mum if you look carefully up the stairs) to sold out wembely style arenas all of which contain unique features. As a lover from everything from punk rock to thrash matel i find this game a very enjoyable and unique ( said that word alot) conversion of the kick A** instrument that is the guitar.

Verdict - 9.6
The game is so close to absoluty perfection. Harmonix if your reading. a list of more recent tracks such as "Pull harder on the strings of your maytr" by TRIVIUM and "Before I forget" by Slipknot would be ace, there the songs real metal fans want. An effects pedel would be fantastic, also the ability to buy flying V guitars in retail outlets.
