Not so impressed. Admittedly, it was quite a while since i played this, but i still remember the major problem, and obviously always will because of it. I understand that games should be improved, but don't expect practically the genre to be changed. Apart from character appearances, and just a few weapons and items, i dont remember seeing any other originality. I mean, there were no zombies! If you think about it, that's what makes Resident evil!
However, the game itself was impressive. Graphics and sound were fine, and still created the unique atmosphere that is Resident evil. The gameplay was challenging and created quite a long entertaining game. There was a larger range of enemies, who were more intelligent and harder than Zombies from earlier titles. Buying weapons and equipment was similiar to Dino crisis 2. After completion of the game, there are alernate game modes to play, offering a large amount of gameplay and replyability.
This is a highly recommended title for anyone interested in the Survival Horror genre of games. I haven't been able to give a detailed review of this game. I would prefer to use it as a warning to fans. If you are expecting a title very similiar to the original, as all of the sequels have been, you may not be satisfied with this game. Some have regarded RE:Outbreak as drifting from the originals. Resident evil 4 most definetly does this, and would of perhaps been better of as a seperate title.
