Flatout 2 is the second addition to the franchise. This game takes more of an approach to racing, unlike Flatout1, witch is more of a bush-em-up type of game. While Flatout 2 still has derby's, and races, it lacks of new features in my option, and can get very repetitive.
Sound
Flatout 2 has a brand new re-vamped soundtrack, including bands like Yellow Card, The doors, and more. The sound effects are greatly improved, along with different engine sounds, more crash sounds, and better environment sounds.
Graphics
The Flatout 2 graphics pretty much remain the same as the fist Flatout, while improving on some small things such as reflection, environment, suck as dirt splitting up, and trees. Although the car may look better, The Graphics do not take a big step up from the first Flatout.
Game play
Flatout 2's game play is where it really steps up from the first Flatout. It has way more tracks, derby's and mini events. The tracks range from farmland, to sub-urbs, to even race tracks, while derbies expand to parking lots, and malls. The events include baseball, trying to fire you play to a bat, and bounce trying to miss huge over sized gloves, Soccer, Firing your player trough apposing teams and in to the net past a goalie, And stone skipping, firing your lay across the water, taping the R1 button while hit hits the water to propel him farther.
Overall
Overall, I think Faltout 1 was a more fun game that the second one, but that's just me, so Try both of them and see witch one you like.
