Another opportunity for EA to cash in on another world sporting event, with gamers expectations of the game to produce
Graphics – 7.0/10
+ The graphics are very polished and very Next Gen
- Quite a lot of slow frame rate at goal celebrations and replays…
Sound – 8/10
+ Commentary and Crowd effects are spot on with a good array of menu music
- As with most games the commentary can go off on a tangent, but its not that bad.
Game Play – 6/10
+ It's easy to pick up the controller and play
+ The proper World Cup Qualifiers are also included
- The shooting and the reality of ball physics are pretty bad. At times you want to crack a shot on the half volley; instead you are able to curve the ball more than David Beckham and make the keeper produce a save he shouldn't have to as its well going wide.
- The game still lacks emotion or character when compared to the PES series
Controls / IG Menu / Loading Times - 7/10
+ The basic controls are easy to pick up with room to pic up the more fancy tricks
+ In game menus are nice looking and easy to navigate
- The squad selection screen feels crammed and does not make use of the full screen
- Navigating and menu selection can be a bit laggy at times
Addictiveness / Length-Ability – 6/10
+ Its fun enough with correct squads and competition layout
- More of a rental 5-night rental game than one to purchase, unless it's pre-owned and cheap – not worth the £49.99 price tag
