This game has a lot going for it, but unfortunately something was lost along the way.

The best part of the game is the soundtrack, which is very good.  It consists of a nice collection of alternative/rock/metal that will be the only thing keeping you playing the game at times.  The graphics are also very good.  They have a bit of a cartoony feel, but there isn't any noticable slowdown and things look fairly good.  The actual tricks are a mixed bag of good and bad.  Pulling off spins and flips on a half or quarter pipe is easy and fun.  But certain tricks, like wall taps and flips, are really quite frustrating.  Wall taps are difficult because even when the correct button sequence is used, the trick doesn't always work.  Flips are not difficult, but because the flip button is the same as the brake button, you will find yourself braking at the top of a jump, which is really quite frustrating.

There are three things about this game which make it almost unplayable.
1) Turning and stopping.  You cannot turn in a tight radius, which means you cannot simply turn around and retry many tricks.  You have to find an area wide enough so that you can turn, which is completely ridiculous.  Stopping is basically impossible.  And since there are really only two speeds -- really fast and not moving -- it makes it almost impossible to navigate tight spaces, especially with the poor turning radius.
2) The camera angle.  The camera is terrible.  You are put directly behind the bike rider and cannot see very far at all.  This makes some of the challanges very hard because many of them require you to see things you are not able to see due to the poor camera.  The only time the camera moves is when you turn, and when this happens everything zooms by the screen so quickly that you will get a headache.
3) The canned responses from the NPCs.  Every single NPC has their particular saying, and that is the only thing they know how to say.  If you never stay in one place, this is ok, but if you want to hang out at say, the half pipe, there are only a few times you can hear, "Didn't I see you on World's Worst Bikers?" before you want to break your xbox.

Anyway, overall the game is just ok, which is too bad because there is a good game somewhere in this mess trying to get out.  And by the way, the videos, which I was really looking to, are completely terrible and definitely not worth the effort.  Go rent Hard Bodies instead.  The movie lasts less than two hours and it is a lot (A LOT) more tastefully done.
