I can easily say that Final Fantasy VII is one of my favorite games of all time.  Although it was not my first Final Fantasy, this game was one that brought a whole new crowd of gamers to the rpg style of gaming.  It was the first of the series to go 3D and to be a success in 3D as well.  This one in particular revolutionized the series and was followed by many other great Final Fantasy games.

The game play is your typical Final Fantasy battle scene but instead of just seeing sprites making one motion on the screen, you get to see real movement of the characters and enemies so that it does not get boring.  That was the first thing I noticed while playing this game.  The Limit breaks are pretty awesome as well and some look amazing when they are being performed.  The magic in this game is also well designed and looks so much better than the 2D games.  The best aspect of the battle I would have to say are the summons because they just look amazing and are awesome when they can be used more than once.

The only thing that I think will have a bit of a learning curve would be the Materia system.  It's pretty basic but there may still be people who may not get it right away.  All that is needed is to decide who should carry which Materia and to try to balance your team so they are equally ready for battle and to not have just one character stacked with everything.  After you know how to use those, the game will become a little easier.

The music in this game is something that will stick in my head well after I am done playing it.  After a few years I decided to just play this game for a few just to see if I wanted to get back into it and the music brought back so many years of memories that I have with this game.  No other game as music like this obviously and will be one of the best parts of the game(even though you will be to busy playing to notice).  I think it was pretty easy to give this game a 10.

So in the end, Final Fantasy VII is one of my favorite games ever made and I know that I am not alone with this.  You can easily squeeze over 40+ hours the first time you play this game because there are so many things to cover over the span of 3 Discs.  The story is epic, the sounds and music all go well together, the graphics are great for it's time, what's not to like about this game? If you have not played this game and you are a fan of the Final Fantasy series, WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU!.....look for a copy and if you have time to play it I would highly recommend it.
