Well when I first played this game I was 7. My uncle actually played most of it and I merely watched. Luckiley 4 years later my friend handed me his copy of Final Fantasy X and I was instantly immersed in the series so I went out and bought this game.
Yes I turly played it for the first time in 2001 and even then... Wow
The graphics for its time were no doubt amazing especially for an RPG. The story was probably the most powerful in any game I have ever played. I'll admit this is the closest I've come to crying over a video game character and that's got to be a damn good story to do that.
However the story isn't really my point here. The fact that I picked this game up in 2001 and played it for 63 straight hours until I finished it really proves how good this game is. It more than meets up to the test of time. Overall though I'd say this is by far the best RPG game I have ever played.
