In my opinion this game made skateboarding cool again. The only reason I bought a skateboard was because I wanted to be like Tony Hawk. I'm also sure i'm not the only person who was inspred by this game.
Neversoft made THPS1 and took a franchise that pretty much ummm... sucked. Then they turned it into the best balance of control, adrenaline, and just plain fun into a series that still lives on.
I won't say too much about the game except the fact that the objectives did get a bit tedious but the vast variety of the games levels kept you from realiziong how many crates or barrles you broke and how many "secret" tapes you collected.
So all in all great game that should be remembered for generations.
