Twilight Princess is phenomenal. I did not like Ocarina of Time much at all because it strayed so far from the A Link in Time and Link's Awakening gameplay. Maybe it's the Wii control scheme, or maybe it's the perfection that comes with several years of polish, but I love playing Twilight Princess even though most people say it's nothing but a very updated Ocarina of Time.
The game retains its explore anywhere mentality, and has some of the most entertaining puzzles and secrets I've come across in gaming. The battles are challenging but not as difficult as in previous Zelda games. Using the Wiimote pointer to aim the slingshot and bow is instantly gratifying in how simple and revolutionary such control is over the traditional joystick. The Wii pointer is better than a mouse.
BUT I cannot grade Twilight Princess a 10. The music sounds awful, like midi quality! Nintendo, I love your music and have tons of soundtracks and remixes of your stuff, but please learn to have a real orchestra play your great music. The constant blare of the soundtrack of this game detracts from my enjoyment nearly every moment of the game. Please learn from the Final Fantasies and Shadow of the Colossus, and turn your wonderful score into recordings that people want to listen to when not playing. You're using DVD's now, unlike on Gamecube, so I know you have room for compressed real music.
