When I first received Brain Age for my DS, I must admit I was skeptical. The thought of playing an educational game did not seem like it would be fun at all. However, that all changed the second I turned on the system and launched the game. The title features many different exercises to do, with even more to unlock. On top of that, over 100 Sudoku puzzles are included with the game, so you can kill some time playing those.
The game starts off simply enough with a menu that lets you choose whether to do quick simple activities, multiplayer, Sudoku, or actually work on your daily brain training. By doing Quick Training, you can get an estimate of your brain age, do one activity, or do a quick sudoku puzzle. Multiplayer allows you to play with friends who have a DS and the game locally, or send a Download Play demo to those without the game. Sudoku gives the feature of playing more than 100 of the popular Sudoku puzzles in 3 different difficulties. Daily Training has you complete various activities that you will get ranked on each day. Once you are done with those, you can take a daily Brain Age test to see how your Brain Age is changing as you play through the game. The more days you come back, the more stamps you get, which unlock more features in the game.
With so much to offer, and so much packed in this little cart, as well as a $20 price tag for the game, clearly, Brain Age is a must have for any DS owner.
