First off, this game is bizarre. Why do I say that? Well, it features a features a jive talking, black-female, military moose that raps for instance. Oh yeah, you've got to stop all the world's food from turning into noodles. Unfortunately, this time around, the game came off as stupid instead of funny or cool.
By the way, the quality of the music has gone down...waaaay down. I got into the first parappa because of the catchy tunes. But now it's as if the developers went to watching the Disney Channel and listening to Vanilla Ice.
The game features a good number of stages, but I finished the game in one sitting and was happy to get up and throw the game back on the shelf. I really only played the game to see what other songs were included. Once I found out that they were all pretty weak, I went into a state of depression and hoped for better hip-hop in games.
But at its core, Parappa is still somewhat enjoyable. If you were a die hard fan of the others in the series, you may want to take the time to try it out. Otherwise, stay away.
