Overall: B (A very, very good shoot 'em up type game. 4 different characters to play and control at the same time, top-notch graphics, and overall polished package, puts this game a cut above the average shooter. Now, this game had a lot of pre-release expectations (differing depending who you ask). The game certainly is not Halo reborn, and certainly not a deep tactical simulation. If you go into the game looking for those items, you'll naturally be disappointed. But like I said, if you want a great shooter you can't go wrong with this game.)
Graphics: A- (Looks nice! Burning ash falls from the sky and blows with the wind, smoke swirling aroud. Characters and environments are all detailed nicely. There is not much if anything to complain about here)
Sound: B+ (You could complain about the voice acting, but whatever...cheesy and Sci-Fi go hand n'hand. The sound effects work perfectly with weapons, volcano's erupting, whatever...Surround sound always a plus. Musical score sounds a bit early Trekish (as in Star Trek))
Multiplayer: NR (I am not going to rate it as I haven't played it enough to say. But I will say it doesn't seem to be nearly on the level of Halo. From the little time I have played it, I am not a huge fan of the arenas and levels)
Campaign: B+ (Tons of fun here. Large environments, goals to achieve, lots of unfriendlies to kill! The idea of money is good as a benchmark of how well you did. The only drawback with using money, is that it suggests that I should be able to spend it...but there is nothing to buy????...that being the case, they should have just used points instead of $$$ The story...humm is there one? Kinda seemed together with the commander guy describing the missions and then yelling at you in the middle of your mission for waisting money on cloning you)
Replayability: B (The nice thing about this game is 4 different characters allow for variety in how you want to approach a level. I have beaten the game on Hard using different approaches as seemed best at the time. Note that you are allowed to clone your players at the cost of $$$. So, with time, you should be able to beat the game that way no matter what you do...the challenge then becomes to improve your % of the top amount of $$$ available...I ranged for 0% to 72% on the 16 missions. FYI...I only got 0% on one mission (think it was mission 8) The next step is to either improve my score (or play on "Brutal" level.)
Control: A (They are borrowed from Halo, that means they are top-notch.)
