Let's be honest, most people buy this game as it comes with a free Wiimote. But don't let that stop you from realising it is actually a good game. Not a classic, but still a great party game for the Wii's launch lineup.
The games on offer are simple yet fun, easy to play, and great to play with others. You get quite a few games for your money (and a free Wiimote, of course) and although if you just plow through them, play them a few times each and unlock them all, you can easily do it in an hour's sitting. But it's enjoying these games and coming back to them that is where the full value lies. Guaranteed, this game will come out any time you have mates round for a party or you want to show the Wii to someone who doesn't have one. It's also an excellent title for killing the odd half-hour or so.
This is a game destined, in my view, to be a bit of a dimissed gem. Don't just get the extra Wiimote out of the box and not give the game a proper chance - sit down, play it with friends/family and laugh at how damned silly and giddy this game makes you feel.
All the minigames are well polished and reasonable for single-player, but really take off in multiplayer. Sound is good. Graphics are bright, bold and simple. The gameplay is typically intuitive stuff and lots of fun. Altogether a worthy part of anyone's Wii collection.
