Pretty good looking game, which works well with older video cards, ran fluidly with my retrograde Geforce FX 5600XT :O (with visuals on low). I read another review of this game which called Silverfall the Diablo killer, a totally undeserved title.
4 different races to choose from and a few extra options to change the looks of your new character. Plenty of skills but no classes such as archer, mage, warrior, etc. Which was a let down for me because this means there are no class specific quests (Some sort of archer quest which earns you a powerful bow for instance), NPC's dont care what skills you choose. You also have the option of affiliating with nature or science unlocking around nine more skills for either.
I picked an elf knowing i wanted to be a mage. Nice open areas, the only tunnel areas are the dungeons, the main map is open plan. You have the option of picking 2 companions to join you as you progress. I was enjoying the game until i reached level 35 to find out i had maxed out my air mages abilities (each skill is limited to level 10 unless an item improves this) and all i could do multiclass now, pick skills from other skill tree's but my air spells weren't getting any stronger. I played a warrior after and they have many more skills to help them.
I finished the game at level ~50 both times on normal difficulty although the game does offer "hard" and "very hard" options. Completing all quests and side quests i found, i finished the game the day after i started, big let down there.
If you wanted to you would have no problem beating this game in a day which disqualifies it as a "Diablo Killer" for me. Also the inability to really focus a mage really irked me.
Co-op and PvP multiplayer modes available.
Fun to play through once or twice, i would wait for the price to come down though. 6.5/10
