If for no other reason than the fact that this game does not have FF8's Guardian Spirits, its a good game. That fact aside, I have found the game thus far to be an engaging and fairly story driven adventure. The new combat system is fun and I am a total fan of turn based combat in these types of games. I spent 100's of hours with Diablo 1 and 2 and all of the Baldur's Gate games, its nice to not be hurried in a battle. The spell effects are also very well done in this game. I also enjoy the CGI's and I must say the voice acting is not half bad. I am just about half way through this game, but so far so good. I can reccommend it easily to fans of RPS and especially fans of the series.
