Thisa game marked a new era of role playing games. From the immersive characters and story, to the pitched battles included, this game is a top notch game of the year for a reason. Taking the best DandD has to offer and creating a story that has turned into a franchise for Interplay as well. The sound is great and the graphics are crisp, although it should be noted to those getting the game by now, that the graphics on the market are better than they were when the game cam out. The story will hold you and I have nothing bad to say about this game other than one anecdote. I made it to the very end of the game where you confront the main bad guy and cated cloudkill towards where he would be if I was further up on the scree, he came down, engaged in conversation, and promptly died after one round in the cloud. That was both sad and gfood and perhaps the cheapest victory I ever earned in this game.
