Dark Summit is a simple snowboarding game - if it weren't for the interesting story/objectives aspect, the game wouldn't be notable. For a game whose sole function is to do tricks, the trick system is embarassingly shallow. Grabs and grinds (or 'jibs' as they call them - whatever) and canned tricks are all that's available.
Normally, that would turn me off completely but the game is pretty, the environment is bizarre and cool and hell, the courses are HUGE.
The player models are pretty nice and the facial animation is mostly good (although there are some scary moments).
But balance these positives with what's, quite possibly, the lamest multiplayer games ever. Too bad cuz the framerate was pretty solid.
Buy this game if you're interested in the story aspect. But know that you're not getting much in the way of tricks.
