Very few games make me go out and buy them the day they are released. Suikoden III was just such a game. And as I've said before (namely in reviews of Suikoden and Suikoden II), the Suikoden series has remained one of the most underrated RPGs of all time.
The third installment of Suikoden brings us into the realm of 3D, and while nice, the depth of gameplay is such that it would be a success even without it. There are old and new characters who comprise the 108 stars lending to vast party combinations (obviously) plus, for old players, that feeling of nostalgia and continuation. The "castle enhacing" is back and interesting as always.
Storyline is well-thought as well, with the added uniqueness of playing from three different characters' perspectives.
If you like RPGs and you've never played Suikoden before, you're really missing out on a great adventure.
