At first, Morrowind starts out somewhat slowly, but after you've been playing for an hour or so, you begin to realize just how huge the world is. It is very easy to get lost in it. Of course, the downside to this is whenever you get a Quest, such as "Go to such-and-such town and talk to so-and-so", you ultimately just sigh and say, "here we go a-walkin' again". Yes, it can get tedious running back and forth from town to town.
You can choose from a list of character classes, or create your own (which is very nice). Also, Morrowind lends itself quite well to mods; it comes with an Editor program to create your own, or there are plenty you can find online.
The major complaint I have is how unstable the game is. I can't stress enough how important it is that you *Save Often*.
The bottomline is, definitely get this game if you're a fan of RPGs.
