I had read so much good about this game and I like Max Payne I thought why not. But now that I have it I am thinking why.
Why is this guy constantly put up against wave after wave of opponents? Why is everyone except Paulie so frigging hard to kill? Why do head shots do such little damage? Why is the 3rd person a liability in the fire fights? Why did I buy this game?
I wonder if anyone from God has actually ever shot anything with a shotgun from 3 feet away and seen the carnage. I have, let me tell you no one will be standing that isn't wearing body armor.
I have been playing pc shooters since Wolfenstein was new and we ain't talking RTCW. So I think I have a bit of experience with them. Max Payne was far less frustrating in character control and accuracy of shots. This guy never gets any better. Seems to me most missions are based upon try until you finally succeed because there isn't any strategy to them.
If you like great atmosphere get this for sure, if you want something that won't drive you nuts with its less than acceptable control avoid it like the plague.
