THE GOOD: One of the best looking Xbox games out. The bump mapped textures lend a scarily realistic environment. The character models are also realistic and very well designed. Your character, Riddick, has a myriad of moves and capabilities that sets the game apart from most fps. Besides fighting with ranged weapons, you can engage enemies in melee combat either unarmed(fists) or armed(a shiv, brass knuckles, etc.). While EFBB is a fps it doesn't play like a typical fps. Your character wields weapons and interacts with the environment as if you were looking through his eyes - little in the way of a hud(basically four bars that indicate your health), your hands actively operate devices(nothing done off-screen), and no magic reticle when using weapons. In a pleasant surprise the story that accompanies the game is fairly deep and intriguing. It's a surprise because it's said that Vin Diesel had a significant role and say so in the making of the game.
THE BAD: No multiplayer mode which would have been incredible considering how much more interactive and capable the player is in comparison to other, more conventional fps.
OVERALL: EFBB is an excellent single-player fps(and in many ways more than just a fps). The lack of multiplayer shouldn't deter you from getting this game as you will enjoy a title that walks it's own path instead of following some cookie-cutter corporate design.
