i feel this is one of the best games i have ever played. although the basic gameplay is essentially the same, there have been a lot of new features added. the need to have resources and technology in order to build units and improvements makes diplomacy much more important. technologies also seem to be slightly slower to develop(it was 1950 before i got railroads). i also love the addition of culture, because it makes it possible to take over cities without going to war.
